Hammond Arts The Guaranty Gallery was established in 1979 as a forum for local artists to showcase their artworks. Exhibits change monthly beginning on the first business day of each month. Works range from paintings and sculpture to hand crafted pottery and jewelry. The gallery is open to the public Monday through Friday during regular banking hours. The Hammond Regional Arts Center located in Historic Downtown Hammond features a forum of local artists displaying a variety of works. Open Monday through Friday, 10 am to 5 pm. Each month new exhibits of mostly student work are presented. Gallery features over 100 original oil paintings of local scenery, portraits and architecture by nationally known artist Toni Nelson. Painting classes are also offered. Call for appointment and additional information. (3/25/08) Julia Sims Nature Photography Privately owned gallery that exhibits the work of acclaimed nature photographer Julia Sims. Features handmade furniture and fine art. Eight to twelve local artists with several mediums and a great variety of subjects, but lots of South Louisiana flavor. Open Thursday through Saturday, 11 am to 4 pm and Sunday, 1 to 4 pm. RC Davis Art Gallery Privately owned gallery which exhibits the work of artist RC Davis. |
