From New Orleans via I-55
Tangipahoa Parish is approximately 60 minutes from New Orleans. From New Orleans take I-10 westbound. I-55 intersects I-10 at LaPlace. Proceed north on I-55. After you cross the Manchac Bridge, you are in Tangipahoa Parish.
From New Orleans via the Pontchartrain Causeway
For a drive over scenic Lake Pontchartrain, we recommend the Pontchartrain Causeway. From I-10 in New Orleans, take Causeway Blvd. - North. Cross the Causeway, Louisiana's 24-mile bridge. Proceed North at the end of the causeway until you reach I-12. Take the I-12 westbound exit and head west. Tangipahoa Parish is approximately 20 miles from that point.
From Jackson, Mississippi
Simply take I-55 south and Tangipahoa Parish is the first parish in Louisiana on I-55. Exits along I-55 south will bring you to the many wonderful places to see and visit.
From Baton Rouge
From our state's capital take I-10 east until you reach the I-10 - I-12 split in Baton Rouge. I-12 takes you to Tangipahoa Parish while I-10 takes you to New Orleans. At the I-12 split, it is approximately 35 miles to Tangipahoa Parish.
From the Mississippi Gulf Coast
I-10 is the east-west interstate in Mississippi. After crossing the Louisiana border, proceed west until you come to the I-10 - I-12 split in Slidell. Take I-12 west (Hammond exit) for 40 miles. Then you will arrive in Tangipahoa Parish.
